The Debt Capital Markets group provides financing alternatives including public bonds, private placements, and various structured products to issuing clients.  The group also advises on and executes risk and liability management solutions.

Biographies:

ROCK FU, Managing Director and Head of Financial Institutions: Most recently, Mr. Fu was a Team Leader and Debt Capital Markets Officer at Banc of America Securities, where he was a senior coverage officer for U.S. financial institutions.  Mr. Fu was a member of the firm’s Capital Solutions Group, and focused on developing capital raising strategies for investment grade issuers.  Mr. Fu joined Banc of America Securities in 2000, where he was responsible for building out its domestic financial institutions team.  Previously, Mr. Fu was a Director at Merrill Lynch and was also at Credit Suisse with Debt Capital Markets origination responsibilities for the bank and specialty finance sectors. Earlier in his career, Mr. Fu was a corporate lending officer with Chase Manhattan Bank.  Mr. Fu received his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Cornell University.

JOHN KJORLIEN, Managing Director, Head of Private Placements, Debt Capital Markets; Prior to joining Aladdin, Mr. Kjorlien was a Managing Director at Centre Capital Advisors where he provided investment banking services to small and medium sized businesses with a primary focus on raising debt and equity capital. Previously, Mr. Kjorlien was with Citigroup Global Markets Inc. from 1990 to 2006 where he most recently held the position of Managing Director, Structured Corporate Finance – Marketing.  In this role, Mr. Kjorlien was responsible for creating a coordinated business platform for four structured corporate finance businesses; project finance; leasing and asset finance; structured trade finance; global capital structuring – designing and implementing account planning processes; and promoting internal and external visibility.  Mr. Kjorlien has also held positions at Shearson Lehman Hutton, Bank of America and Merrill Lynch Capital Markets. Mr. Kjorlien has a BA in Economics from St. Lawrence University and an MBA in Finance from Columbia University Business School.
